In January 2026, coaches from SS Lazio’s academy will arrive in Sydney for a groundbreaking collaboration with St George FC. This marks the first time that an official European top flight club delivers a camp of this kind with an Australian NPL club.

Hosted over two weeks at St George FC’s premier facilities, the SS Lazio Training Camp offers boys (U8–U19) and girls (U8–U20) an unprecedented opportunity to train using the same techniques and methodologies as Lazio’s elite youth system.

While many global clubs host “international camps” or set up licensed academies that operate in isolation from their real youth programs, this initiative is fundamentally different.

This is an authentic technical partnership: Lazio’s own academy staff will be on the ground delivering their official training curriculum, mentoring local coaches, and identifying players who will be invited to Rome for further development within SS Lazio’s academy environment.

At the conclusion of the camp, a minimum of two players will be invited to Rome for a fully funded, two-week showcase inside SS Lazio’s environment.

This is not a promotional “experience” — it is an authentic academy showcase delivered by SS Lazio’s official youth coaching staff. Players will train inside Lazio’s academy environment, under the guidance of the same technical leaders who shape the club’s professional youth pathway.
Outstanding participants may be invited to Rome for extended development opportunities within SS Lazio’s academy structure — a first for an Australian-based program.

GOALKEEPERS WELCOME

The SS Lazio Training Camp proudly includes dedicated goalkeeper training.

A specialist Lazio Academy Goalkeeper Coach will travel from Rome to Sydney to work exclusively with goalkeepers, delivering the same methods used within Lazio’s elite youth setup — reaction speed, positioning, distribution, and modern play-out-from-the-back techniques.
